Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus North American Strain (PRRSV

Specific for nucleocapsid protein of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV). IgG2b isotype. Reacts with 45 of 49 North American isolates, including Quebec LHVA-93-3, MN-1b, three NVSL isolates, vaccine strains RespPRRS® (Boehringer Ingelheim) and Prime Pac® PRRS (Schering Plough). Does not react with the European strain, LV. Suitable for immunoperoxidase, indirect immunofluorescence and immunoprecipitation assays. Reactive to PRRSV antigen in formalin-fixed tissue. Not suitable for virus neutralization or Western blot. This monoclonal antibody is produced as mouse ascites fluid, clarified by centrifugation, and filtered through a 0.2 micrometer filter. The concentration is 1.0 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline, preserved with sodium azide.
